On-site registration at the conference office

On-site registration will take place at the conference office in the main building "H1" on the ground floor. Please follow the signs "conference office". Please register as soon as possible.

Monday, September 15

Tuesday, September 16

  3. Aufzählungszeichen6.30PM excursion to the Hamburg port container terminals. This event is fully booked. Bus transfer will be provided from the conference site at 6PM. Excursion will end at about 9.30PM at central station.

Wednesday, September 17

  2. Aufzählungszeichen7.30PM the conference banquet will be held in the Empire Riverside Hotel, Hamburg. Bus transfer will be provided from the conference site via the conference hotels to the banquet. Banquet will end at about 11.00PM

Thursday, September 18

  3. Aufzählungszeichen4.15PM informal farewell reception at the conference site.

Friday morning, September 19

  1. Aufzählungszeichen9.00AM excursion to the Airbus manufacturing site. Please register for that event asap. Bus transfer will be provided from the conference hotels at 8AM. Excursion will end ca. 1.30PM.

Presentations

Equipment for presentations

All rooms for presentations are equipped with PCs, which are connected to data projectors. You should transfer your presentation file to the PC via a USB-memory-stick or a CD in the break before your session. Your presentation time is limited to 20min with an additional 3min for discussion. The PCs run Microsoft Windows XP.

Furthermore, the rooms are equipped with an overhead projector and chalkboards or whiteboards. In case of questions or any special needs please contact the conference secretariat or the staff in the presentation rooms on site.

Additional rules for work-in-progress papers and industry practice papers

Posters for Work-in-Progress and Industry Practice will be on display in an exhibition during the whole conference. Each poster will additionally be presented in a 5min presentation in a dedicated work-in-progress session. Your poster shall not exceed the DIN/A0 format. More information on posters here.

Internet connection

You can use your own laptop to connect to the university's WLAN with the name "event" (SSID); with your registration package you will get a so called "event net ticket" with a registration code, which is valid throughout the conference.

You can use one of the fixed Internet stations on the ground floor of the main building.

General Information

How to reach the conference site

The conference will take place on the campus of the Helmut Schmidt University (Universitaet der Bundeswehr) in the main building (building no. "H1").Please see the information provided on the Travel & Transport page. For information about public transport in Hamburg see the web site of HVV (public transport system).

Conference hotels will be serviced by shuttle buses that will take attendees to the conference and back. Their timetable is available here.
