Industry day
Industry day will take place on monday, 15 September 2008, from 10.15AM to 5PM
Program
The Industry Day will be focused on two key standards for factory automation: IEC 61131-3, which defines programming languages for Programmable Logic Controllers, and IEC 61499, which defines a generic architecture for the use of function blocks in distributed industrial process measurement and control systems. The focus is on recent developments and further extensions.
Please find the detailed program below or in the PDF file.
Participation in the Industry Day is recommended for both:
Control developers and managers from industry to get informed about the current trends in industrial control architectures and programming;
Researchers in academia and industry to discuss needs and directions for further research.
Participation in the Industry Day is free for all who have registered for the ETFA 2008 conference. If you want to participate only in the Industry Day, see registration details here.
At the end of the Industry Day, shuttle buses will bring the ETFA conference participants from the conference site to the welcome reception in the Hamburg Town Hall.
